J. Cole Sets Release Date for Long-Awaited The Fall-Off

After years of anticipation from fans, American rapper J. Cole has officially announced the release date for his highly anticipated new album, The Fall-Off. The Dreamville Records boss revealed that the project is scheduled to drop on February 6, 2026.

The announcement arrived with a low-key teaser trailer showing Cole in everyday moments — washing his car, eating at a diner — accompanied by introspective narration rather than flashy visuals, reflecting the thoughtful tone the album promises.

Shortly after the teaser, Cole shared a new song titled “Disc 2 — Track 2,” which has sparked speculation that The Fall-Off could be a double-disc album, though no official confirmation has been made.

Fans have been waiting for The Fall-Off since at least 2018, when it was first teased on the closing track of his album KOD. Over the years, the project has taken on near-mythical status among Cole’s fanbase.

The new album will be Cole’s first full studio release since 2021’s The Off-Season and follows his 2024 mixtape Might Delete Later.
