Casemiro to Leave Manchester United at the End of the Season

Manchester United and Brazil midfield star Casemiro has confirmed that he will leave Manchester United at the end of the 2025–26 season when his contract expires. The 33-year-old Brazilian, who joined the club from Real Madrid in 2022, has spent four seasons at Old Trafford, making 146 appearances and scoring 21 goals for the Red Devils.

During his time in England, Casemiro played a key role in helping United secure the 2023 Carabao Cup, where he scored in the final, and the 2024 FA Cup. Despite his impressive record, United have opted not to activate the one-year extension clause in his contract as part of a broader squad restructuring strategy.

In an emotional statement, Casemiro expressed his deep connection with the club and supporters, saying that Old Trafford will always remain close to his heart. He also emphasised his commitment to giving his all in the final months of the season as United
push for a strong finish.

The departure of the experienced defensive midfielder is expected to free up significant wage budget and pave the way for United to pursue younger midfield reinforcements in the summer. Casemiro will leave as a free agent, with speculation already mounting over where the Brazil international might continue his career after his stint in the Premier League.
